WHAT TO EXPECT

Free Consultation:
I do offer a 30 minute free consultation call to explore the ways I work with.

Weekly Sessions:
Over years of experience, I have found an 80-minute session is more effective compared to a 45-50 minute one as it is long enough to both identify and resolve areas of concern.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy utilizes our innate healing capabilities by reaching increased awareness through hypnosis. It is a gentle and very effective way to solve any inner conflicts and modify any behaviors driven by these conflicts.

Regression Hypnotherapy

Regression hypnotherapy is the process in which you are guided to recall traumatic memories to discover misperceptions, and reshape negative conclusions and beliefs that still drive or trigger dysfunctional behavior in the present. It is considered to be a highly effective and transformative psychological tool to heal the wounds of attachment or developmental traumatic events. Traumatic events require very gentle and skilled resolution. Through heart-centered hypnotherapy, the hidden pains, self-sabotaging beliefs, and inner conflicts can be resolved.

Somatic Experiencing (SE™)

The SE™ is a multidisciplinary body-oriented therapeutic approach with an emphasis on the here-and-now experience. It helps trauma survivors to release traumatic shock so they can find relief in both psychological and physiological symptoms of PTSD (Post-Trauma Stress Disorder). The approach of somatic experiencing involves several techniques that help release tension from the body after experiencing trauma. These techniques include body awareness, grounding, pendulation, titration, sequencing, and resourcing. The therapist guides the client through exercises that help identify areas of tension in the body, connect deeply to the body and the earth, release excess energy, observe physical sensations during traumatic memories, and recall positive resources that make the client feel safe and calm.

Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS)

IFS is also evidence-based psychotherapy technique. Traumatic events force sub-personalities or inner parts to behave in an extreme way or even dissociate to survive. Just like the orchestra chef of a symphony keeps each musician playing their part with precision and accuracy, creating a magnificent and harmonious performance. Without the orchestra chef, the musicians would be left to navigate or play without guidance, resulting in confusion and discord. IFS allows us to discover, understand, accept and integrate those wounded and protective parts so that they can function in harmony again.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFIT)

Emotionally Focused Therapy is a research-based and attachment theory oriented therapy. Attachment theory states that we learn to regulate our emotions from our primary caregivers. Even though all emotions are necessary for survival, unregulated emotions make us feel out of control. Emotionally Focused Therapy is humanistic, gentle, yet very effective evidence-based therapeutic approach in healing the wounds of relational/developmental/complex trauma.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

This approach is based on the idea that unregulated emotions cause a disturbance in the body’s energy system. EFT can be described as “acupuncture without needles” – It activates the body’s energy centers to restore equilibrium to the body’s energy system. When our body’s energy system is in balance, we may feel physically energized, emotionally stable, and mentally clear-headed, with a greater sense of purpose and connection to ourselves and others.

Gestalt Parts Therapy

Gestalt parts therapy, also known as “two-chair work,” is a technique used in gestalt therapy that involves a dialogue between different parts of oneself, often using two chairs to represent the different parts. In this technique, the therapist may encourage the client to express conflicting or opposing feelings, such as anger and sadness, by speaking from the perspective of each “part” of themselves. The goal is to help the client become more aware of their internal experiences and how these different parts of themselves relate to each other, with the aim of promoting greater self-awareness and personal growth.

Gestalt Dreamwork

Gestalt believes that dreams can be analyzed the most adequately by the dream owner. Thus, the dreamer is guided through Gestalt roleplaying to unfold the messages carried within the dream. The therapist encourages dialogue between the different characters in dreams so one can engage the person’s thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Sometimes the roles are reversed and the person in therapy assumes the metaphorical person or part of a person.
